AeroPilot

AeroPilot is a ready-to-fly (RTF) autopilot solution that can be used for many different applications. It comes in three distinct models that each have two options; with or without onboard telemetry. The three models are specially designed to meet the requirements of their respective applications. There is the basic model for general use and learning, a fixed-wing model which is tailored for fixed-wing applications and the rotary model, designed to fit the needs of rotary-wing applications (such as helicopters and quadrotors).

Features

Arduino Architecture

The specially designed ArduPilot Mega CPU board allows AeroPilot to perform complex tasks such as stabilization, control and waypoint navigation at speeds up-to 300Hz.

6 Degree-Of-Freedom IMU

AeroPilot also uses a purpose built Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) which provides 3-axis gyro and accelerometer data as well as barometric pressure and temperature.

Extra Sensors

Need more data? The AeroPilot IMU has room for a GPS, Magnetometer and an Airspeed sensor. Now you should have all the data you need!

Waypoint Navigation

Utilizing state-of-the-art navigation and route planning algorithms coupled with MAVLink compatible Ground Control Software (GCS) such as AeroControl, AeroPilot can be commanded to carry out predefined missions, simply and easily.

Pre-loaded Firmware

Every AeroPilot comes pre-loaded with firmware which matches the intended application. This means, with some simple PID tuning, you can be flying straight away.

All in one little box

The hard ABS case protects AeroPilots components. With just two mounting holes, it's easy to install in many different types of airframes.

AeroLink Telemetry

Onboard

All three models of AeroPilot can be ordered with onboard telemetry. This 900Mhz system allows data from AeroPilot to be sent back to a AeroLink equipped Ground Station (typically a laptop using an AeroLink Ground Unit and running MAVLink compatible ground control software (GCS)).

Ground

In addition to purchasing a telemetry equipped AeroPilot, you will also need an AeroLink Ground Unit. This is simply the ground-side telemetry hardware which links AeroPilot to your computer via wireless technology and a USB cable.
